We are well-versed in a multitude of formats, including those necessary for eBook at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords, and for print at KDP, Lulu, and PDF/X1a:2001 for Lightning Source.

Formatting rates are based upon word count, chapter count, and complexity of format (ie straight text fiction vs non-fiction). All rates below are based upon straight text fiction. If your books contains images, illustrations, charts, graphs, tables, bullet/numbered lists, or foot/endnotes, please contact for a custom quote.

FAQ’s and Formatting Policies:
50% Deposit is required to book a date for formatting. This deposit is separate from cover design deposits and is non-refundable. Your deposit is fully applied to your final balance. When you request a date, we’ll send you an invoice for the deposit. We hold formatting dates for 48 hrs. If the deposit isn’t paid within 48 hrs, then dates are released for scheduling. Scheduling is done on a first come basis.
Fonts that are currently in our collection are included in the quote. We have more than 15,000 fonts to choose from. However, if you require a specific font for your project that is not in our collection, you will be required to purchase the font and send it to us, or you may choose from a similar font in our portfolio.
When to Send Your Doc: Please send your manuscript 48 hrs in advance of your scheduled date. We accept documents in Word format or RTF. If you do not have either of these, please let us know upfront. If your document is not received within 24 hrs of your scheduled date, we will have to reschedule your project. Depending on the schedule, this could cause a delay or weeks or sometimes months.
Turnaround times vary depending upon word count and complexity of formatting. The first look sample of your formatting is delivered within 24 hrs. Interior formatting is completed within 7-10 business days after this sample document has been approved. If a longer timeframe is required due to the length or format complexity, We’ll inform you when the first chapter sample document is sent. Any style changes requested after formatting is completed, and after the sample document is approved, will incur additional fees.
Edits and Changes: Be 100% sure your manuscript is at its *very* final stage. NO editing or proofreading is provided. Your document should be fully edited and proofread prior to sending it for formatting. Once formatting is complete, any changes to the manuscript are billed at the rate of $60 per hour for reformatting and resaving. If you require non-standard formatting choices, such as a specific page count, or chapters falling on specific pages, you must inform me prior to my sending the sample for approval. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge of the FULL formatting rate for your word count (which would double your previous fee). Chapter headings and subheadings must be clearly marked. If your mark for subheadings, line breaks, POV/scene changes is not consistent throughout the document, you must inform us prior to formatting or an additional fee may be incurred. If you have POV/scene changes that require a manual line break, then you must put asterisks (**) in those spots. We will remove the asterisks and put glyphs (or can leave blank if you prefer) but any manual line break with no asterisks will be removed entirely and no glyph put in its place.
Proofing Final Docs: It is fully your responsibility to proof all final docs. You will have five days after the formatted final PDF has been delivered to proof the document and notify us of any errors. All formatting specific errors will be corrected free of charge. If there are editorial errors, spelling/grammar etc, then see the above edits and changes sections for rates. If you do not notify us within the five day period, then any changes will have to be scheduled at our next available opening, causing a delay of weeks or even months.
